Job Description

This position performs advanced professional work in support of various natural resources projects and businesses for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Inc., specifically as it relates to environmental impact areas and with emphasis on environmental resource plans, programs, policies and administration of critical areas regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for the for profit operation, analysis and oversight of any and all items related to the natural resources of STOFI which includes live cattle cow-calf operations, feedlot operations, citrus and sugarcane operations, oversight of Salacoa Valley Ranch (Cartersville, GA), administration of Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) contracts and Noxious Weed grants, negotiation and oversight of third parties/vendors with regards to feedlot operations. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in natural resource management, environmental science, biology, forestry, geology, hydrology, agriculture, animal science, range management or other related field is required. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years of management and/or professional level work experience in natural resource conservation work is required; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and be able to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida facilities. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft software programs. Must be able to work a flexible work schedules and able to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
