Job Description

The incumbent in this position identifies, researches and resolves complex technical problems. The individual in this position is responsible for traveling across all reservations to provide support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues while proactively monitoring, managing and responding to system alerts at the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Operation Technology unit using a variety of monitoring tools. The individual monitors, diagnoses, analyzes, and anticipates technical/performance issues before becomes a problem/incident, to ensure the operational uptime of all business services and works with appropriate tiers or IT units to quickly restore optimum service. The incumbent tests software and hardware, including new peripherals to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work and serves in a support role within the Information Technology support structure. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, engineering or a related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an information technology department as security analyst, network or systems administrator, or related occupation is required. Certification as Information Systems Security Professional is preferred. Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) is required. Possession of a valid FL Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
