Job Description

The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for performing activities related to cash application for the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Seminole Petroleum customer/vendor accounts. The incumbent posts payments and basic adjustments to Tribal accounts from all payers; reviews remittance advices for accuracy to identify errors or questionable data; researches and resolves unapplied/unidentified cash receipts; reconciles payments, shortages, processes cash return payments from financial institutions, and maintains auditable records. The individual upholds STOF’s compliance guidelines in relation to the custody of cash, billing, collections, and information. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associate’s degree is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of related Accounts Receivable experience in an office environment with knowledge related to accounts receivable methods and procedures is required. Knowledge MAS accounting software is preferred. Demonstrate proven problem-solving and analytical experience involving a variety of functional departments. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages with strong proficiency in MS excel (formulas and pivot tables/charts) is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess a Florida Driver’s license and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations and/or banking facilities as needed. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
