Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for researching and identifying available grant monies and writing grants for the Seminole Tribe of Florida to support existing and planned projects for various departments across the Tribe. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring or evaluating compliance with the terms of a grant which has operational responsibilities of a limited scope and/or reviewing STOF adherence to established standards. Activities may also include monitoring or evaluating compliance with established program outcomes; assisting and making recommendations on matters pertaining to grant writing; monitoring fiscal management procedures, as well as, serving as a liaison with other STOF Departments. Bachelor’s degree with major course work in public or business administration or field related to area of assignment is required. Minimum of five (5) years of grant writing experience, initiating, managing and/or monitoring contracts, grants and/or leases is required. Prior experience at government level is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience will be considered. Demonstrated successful track record of securing new funding opportunities. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages and add-ins. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to travel to all Seminole Reservations and facilities. The incumbent must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
