Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the direct care and providing a safe environment to the youth admitted to the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Youth Home. The individual provides daytime and overnight relief to the Lead Resident Family Teacher, Resident Family Teacher and Assistant Resident Family Teacher, monitoring and supervising residents; ensuring compliance with house rules, regulations, and assisting in the daily operational/housekeeping functions. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health or Criminal Justice is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Residential Technician or similar field supervising and/or monitoring youth is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. The incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Availability and willingness to work a wide array of hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays is required by the position.
