Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the daily maintenance of the Museum’s exhibits, including specialized media components. This position primarily focusses on the development of exhibit concepts and layouts, and also in the fabrication and reproduction of specimens, backgrounds and structures, ensuring artistic effort and scientific accuracy. Bachelor’s degree in History, Art History, Anthropology, Museum Studies or related field, with a specialization in exhibit production is preferred or equivalent combination of degrees and experience, with formal training in exhibitory, will be considered. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in handling and/or fabricating museum exhibits, theatrical scenery, or other similar products is required preferred. Experience working with graphic programs is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
