Job Description

The Information Security Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected. The incumbent is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the organization. The individual works with business units to implement practices that meet defined policies and standards for information security. The Information Security Manager serves as the owner of all information assurance activities – including those that are technical in nature – related to the integrity and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee, and business information in compliance with the organization's information security policies. A key element of the Information Security Manager's role is working with executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organization. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Business, or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience is required. A minimum of five (5) years in an information security role with at least three (3) years of experience managing information security or IT teams, is required. Possession of active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Security Manager (CISM) is required. Possession of CISSP-ISSAP, -ISSEP, or -ISSMP is a plus. Demonstrate t excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives, is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences. Possession of a valid FL Driver’s License is required. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
