Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing leadership and direction as well as the management of the day-to-day operations to the Center for Student Success and Service (CSSS) Primary and Secondary Programs. The incumbent will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Advisors, Summer Programming, Transportation, and Counseling Services, and actively participates in the Child Protection Team of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The incumbent researches, recommends, and assists with the implementation of new school resources, services and curriculum with the overall goal of providing better services to Tribal Members, ESE (Exceptional Student Education), and overall academic success of all children and their families for success in school. The incumbent assists the Director in developing and reviewing the annual budget as well as with the administration and supervision of the educational staff. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services is required. Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership capacity managing a comprehensive education program or working in the development of educational services, or related field is required. Extensive knowledge of current education programs and services provided to Tribal Members by the STOF is required. Knowledge of state curriculum requirements is required. Knowledge of Lawson and Student Tracking Systems (Unicentric) is highly preferred. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Software. Must have the ability to travel to all reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
