Job Description
The Associate Justice will preside over all matters brought before the Seminole Appellate Court. The Associate Justice is responsible for efficiently resolving all matters brought before the Seminole Appellate Court in a fair and unbiased manner. The Associate Justice represents the Seminole Court in a manner consistent with the ethical standards and moral obligations required of all employees of the Seminole Court and the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Been Member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, between ages of thirty five (35) and seventy (70); never convicted of a felony and not have a conviction of a misdemeanor within the past year is required. While holding this position, the incumbent may not hold any other tribal office or position. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel to all Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays; and be on call 24-7 for consulting and emergency situations.
