Job Description
Under general supervision, the incumbent in this position is responsible for directing and supervising the operations of a fire assigned company within the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Fire Rescue Department. The individual is responsible for the operational preparedness of the personnel assigned as well as for training, and coordination of the personnel and maintenance of apparatus and equipment assigned. High school diploma or equivalent GED is required. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License Class “E” including appropriate level/endorsement(s). Candidate must have attained and maintain valid certifications as a Firefighter II and Florida State Certified Paramedic, and maintain the certification throughout their career. Candidate must have attained Florida Pump Operator and STFR Driver/Operator certifications. Prior to assignment must have the Fire Officer I certification through the state of Florida. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
