Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing the administrative and business functions of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Radio Station. Manages the day-to-day administrative, technical, programming and revenue aspect of the operation of the Radio Station. The individual oversees the day-to-day programming and operation of the Radio Station, and coordinates the production of all programs, ensuring compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations. The Radio Station Manager ensures that the effective technical planning and strategies are in place to deliver maximum value to the target audience. Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Music, or Business Management, Broadcasting Technology or related field is required. Certification from the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a radio station supervisory capacity, radio station operations, on-air hosting, and FCC guidelines is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
