Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Director with the planning, directing and coordinating the administrative activities and functions related to the operations of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Public Works Department. The individual assists in the creation, formulation, and implementation of strategic and operational goals and objectives to successfully execute department strategies; providing technical advice and directives to departmental management; and assisting with the oversight of the fiscal and administrative aspects of the department. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Civil Engineering or similarly related field. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a senior leadership capacity in utilities, public works, and water/waste water collection services is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. Knowledge of tribal regulations and business operations is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and other national, regional and international sites as necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is a requirement of this position.
