Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing support to the Housing Loan Counselors within the Housing Loan Department. The primary focus of the position is to manage the clerical/administrative and loan processing duties of the Department and prepare Loan Closing Documents. The individual assists the Loan Counselors with their daily workload, including loan processing tasks such as making copies, ordering titles, appraisals, verifications and gathering documents from Tribal Members as required by underwriting in order to ensure timely closing of loans. The Loan Coordinator is also responsible for providing quality control and performing Post-Closing duties, tracking of recorded documents and assembling loan files. The Loan Coordinator may input loan application and serve as a liaison for the loan department and the Tribal Members. The incumbent reports pertinent information to their supervisors and responds to inquiries or requests for housing related information. Associate’s Degree in Finance or related field is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a mortgage institution, Bank, Realtor’s Office or performing administrative/clerical duties in support of a department is required. Knowledge of mortgage loan origination program and understanding of the Mortgage Loan Process through closing is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent customer service, telephone skills and English written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate computer literacy in Microsoft Office software programs. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays and able to travel to all the Reservations.
