Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the staff of the Oral History Program within the Collections Division at the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum. The individual works with and assists the Oral History Coordinator to conduct interviews and manage the Oral History Collection, in service to the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Management of the collection shall include cataloging, digitization, archival storage and accessibility measures. The incumbent provides resources that contribute to the Museum’s research, publications and exhibitions; and participates in community and Museum events as needed. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in history, anthropology or related field, with specialization in oral history is preferred. Knowledge of or willingness to learn various digital recording and editing media is required. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, PastPerfect, and social networking formats is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills including verbal and written communications. Ability to travel and work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
