Job Description

This is a temporary, COVID-19 grant based position for approximately 1 year. The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing direct primary care services’ assistance within the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Clinical Health Department. The individual focuses on performing COVID-19 contract tracing and testing duties, while performing other duties as Medical Assistant. The incumbent takes vital signs; performs venipuncture and administers immunizations; assists ARNP/MD with procedures and performs in-house laboratory testing. The incumbent assists staff in coordinating and providing health related education services, prevention and outreach services to the Members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The incumbent maintains a smooth flow of patients into exam rooms, cleans rooms in between patients, and restocks rooms daily. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a doctor’s office/facility, primary care clinics, office setting or similar work environment is preferred. Experience in adult and pediatric venipuncture is required. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Incumbent must possess current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Ability to speak the Creek and/or Miccosukee language is preferred. Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all STOF’s Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
