Job Description

This position is part to the historic preservation program for the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO). The incumbent in this position is responsible for monitoring on and off reservation cultural sites identified as to have cultural sensitivity or have the potential for cultural resources, during development activities. The incumbent works closely with the Cultural Advisors to discuss and interpret the cultural relevance of certain areas ensuring adherence to processes and procedures established. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Be a member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License (or have the ability to obtain one prior to hire) and be able to operate Tribal vehicles, which include 4-wheel drive trucks and all-terrain vehicles, is required. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent must be able to travel to any location, including all reservations and off reservation sites, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
