Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Community Engagement Manager with the development and coordination of programs and services directed to actively engage Seminole Tribal Members to visit, learn, utilize and use the resources and services provide by the Heritage & Environmental Resources Office (HERO), including the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, the To-Pee-Kee-Ke Yak-Ne Cultural Center, the Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO) and the Environmental Resources Management (ERMD) department. The individual assist with identifying methods to communicate the important role of the Tribal departments, and to develop innovative ideas that engage the community into viable pilot programs, such as, participating in community events, promoting activities and services using social media technology, and educating Tribal Members about opportunities and offerings at the HERO Departments. The incumbent would be expected to manage the daily administrative tasks associated with procurement, receiving and at the direction of the HERO Community Engagement Manager, budget development for the Cultural Center. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Prior working experience is preferred. Working knowledge of Seminole Culture and History is preferred. The ability to speak the Creek and/or Miccosukee language is highly desirable. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages and familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms is required. Must demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
