Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for processing construction permit applications for the Seminole Tribe of Florida Tribal Inspection office. The individual assists owners, contractors, and developers in filing applications for building permits, determining the completeness of permit applications, and obtaining the required documents to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations. The incumbent issues construction permits, secures inspection approval, and records completed projects. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of eighteen (18) months of full-time experience in clerical position or customer service position is required required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
