Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the development and implementation of a Tribal wildlife fishery or plant ecology program for the Environmental Resource Management Department (ERMD) of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual develops, analyzes, and interprets biological data; assesses impact to fish and wildlife resources and designs programs to mitigate impacts. Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Natural Resource Management, or a related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working as biologist, zoologist, botanist or knowledge/experience demonstrating good knowledge of fish, wildlife, conservation biology, plant ecology and/or habitat management practices is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
