Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Recruitment Manager and Human Resources Department in planning, developing and implementing recruitment and staffing strategies to identify and attract a well-qualified and diverse pool of candidates, in order to maintain the required staffing levels for the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) and Seminole Tribe of Florida, Inc. The incumbent provides full cycle recruiting services by consulting with hiring managers to understand the business needs and develop talent acquisition strategies that identify and sources current open positions. The incumbent schedules and conducts interviews via telephone, web and face-to-face of qualified applicants, in collaboration with department heads/supervisors; provides recommendations to Department Heads on the most qualified individual; presents the offer to the selected candidate ensuring compliance with STOF recruitment/compensation policies and objectives. The incumbent identifies diverse recruiting sources in order to identify potential candidates to fill vacancies, including internet search, social networking, college recruiting, workforce centers, job fairs, staffing agencies etc. and attends external events to promote the STOF. The individual serves as an ambassador for the Human Resources Department and the Tribe and actively promotes community awareness by employment prospects at the STOF. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required. A minimum of four (4) years recruiting experience preferably in a Human Resources environment is required. Knowledge of governmental departments, specialized corporate and industry specific recruiting strategies is required. Knowledge of commonly used resources and techniques for recruiting is required. Understanding of HR areas including, compensation, benefits, HRIS, training, etc. is highly preferred. Demonstrate strong analytical skills and project management skills with the ability to handle complex issues. Strong proficiency in excel is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages, including and WebEx application for virtual interviews. Ability to travel up to 40% between all STOF’s Reservations and have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is a requirement of this position.
