Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Cook Manager in the day-to-day food services operations and activities of the Preschool’s Program within the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual assists in preparing and serving food and beverages to students in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served and compliance with all health and safety regulations. The incumbent assists with the daily cleaning of the kitchen and children’s eating area/cafeteria. This includes mopping of the floor, disinfecting counter tops, dishes, tables, chairs and walls. High school diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in food service line settings or related field is required. Must possess a food handler’s permit. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
