Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing day-to-day academic support to the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s students in order to assist them in the completion of homework and to teach/promote their use of good study skills. The individual assists children in small groups and/or one on one with assignments in Math, Science, Social Studies, and other academic subjects, providing direction, clarity, and understanding. Associate Degree from a regionally accredited institution is required; or a two (2) year vocational certification will be considered. A minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working as Tutor, Instructional Aide or similar position is required. Must demonstrate the ability to work with diverse groups and youth. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages.
