Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for greeting and answering general questions from Museum visitors and participates in educational exhibits regarding traditional Seminole Camp life and customs and reproducing handcraft objects. Creates, reproduces and presents hand-made objects and other traditional Tribal regalia using a variety of techniques, such as wood carving, doll making, pottery, needlecraft (dolls, baskets, patchwork) and traditional cooking. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Prior experience creating and presenting Seminole crafts, including but not limited to beading, wood carving, basket making, doll making, patchwork, cooking, is required. Knowledge of Seminole culture, history and art and craft traditional customs is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is preferred.
