Position: Budget Analyst
Job Type: Full Time
The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing budgetary, management and financial analysis in a policy oriented Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Budget Department. The individual examines budget estimates; plans and performs economic and/or financial analysis and analyzes budgeting and accounting reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure controls. The individual provides assistance to STOF departmental staff in matters related to budget automated systems. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Public Administration or similarly related field is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience implementing, and monitoring department budgets or working in local government budget analysis, accounting or related field is required. Prior knowledge of finance, budget and accounting methods, practices and procedures is required; or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Knowledge of Lawson/Infor, Hyperion and/or other accounting/budget systems applications is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
