Job Description

The Water Resources and Capital Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the Environmental Resource Management Department’s (ERMD) surface water conveyance and stormwater management program as well as needs associated with other related ERMD programs including Water Quality, Environmental Compliance, Operations & Maintenance, and Environmental Science. This work involves the design, planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of stormwater facilities, infrastructure, and projects using civil engineering, hydrology, and hydraulic knowledge, theories, principles, practices, and methods. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (from an Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET) accredited program), Environmental Engineering is required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience is required. An equivalent combination technical qualification and experience may be considered. Candidates may be asked to provide representative examples of work products produced. Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills is required. Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications is required. Must have the ability to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations, Tribally owned lands, and facilities, and must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends, when required.
