Job Description
The Training & Development Specialist for the Native Learning Center (NLC) serves as a resource to the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) community and Native American Tribes/Tribal Entities in all areas related to the NLC’s training and development to enhance trainee knowledge, skills and abilities. The incumbent collaborates with NLC staff and other individuals to promote and implement the NLC goals of providing quality educational programs and services. Bachelor Degree in Education, Learning and Development, Distance Learning, Political Science or related field is preferred a minimum of three (3) years of experience with developing and facilitating training programs for adult learners is required. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to work with diverse groups and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft and IOS software programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe, and other add-ins is preferred. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, and be able to travel to STOF reservations and other locations outside the State of Florida.
