Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing technical support to Seminole Tribe of Florida Information Technology Network unit. The Unified Communications (UC) Engineer serves as subject matter expert in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and collaboration communications utilizing Cisco’s portfolio of Unified Communications solutions. The individual works alongside a team of VoIP specialists to ensure maximum performance, Quality of Service (QoS), and uptime of the UC environment. High School diploma or equivalent GED and college-level course with a single current technology certification (e.g. A+, Net+) is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field, is preferred. Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP Collaboration) certification is desirable. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Engineer, or in a customer-facing support role within an enterprise environment, with a background in medium to large infrastructure and design is required. Possession of a valid FL Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
