Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting and supporting the Youth Home Administrator and staff. The incumbent performs, coordinates and oversees technical administrative support work in the Youth Home, including the provision of varied administrative support to managerial, professional and supervisory functions, and the direct coordination of specific administrative projects and operations. Employees in this class perform duties with some autonomy; make independent judgments within established policies and procedures. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in the field of psychology, social work, or other related social sciences is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children and/or youth in an organized setting, program or related field is required. Ability to completed provided trainings required by the state for licensure is required. Ability to pass and remain currently certified by state and Tribal approved physical intervention procedures including the overall course/curriculum is required. Ability to implement and follow all physical intervention procedures appropriately and correctly. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Ability to exemplify the highest level of professional standards/ethics and demonstrate appropriate and culturally sensitive service delivery and community based treatment. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is a requirement of this position.
