This is semi-skilled level grade work in several trade areas regarding the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds. Under close supervision, the incumbent in this position is responsible for performing, assisting with supervision of a small crew of employees working in maintenance and repairs throughout the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s buildings, facilities, grounds, surrounding areas and equipment, ensuring their clean and safe operations. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of five (5) years of prior experience working in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds is required. Vocational/technical training in maintenance and/or mechanical repair or any combination of relevant training and experience will be considered. Must possess a valid ten (10) hour Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and a valid Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification, or be able to obtain both within ninety (90) days of employment is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to travel to all Seminole Reservations and facilities. This position requires the incumbent to be on a twenty-four hour call (24/7) basis and/or to regularly work on various shifts, weekends, evenings and/or holidays as deemed necessary.
