Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the daily operations, administration and services provided by the Recreation Department located at Brighton Reservation of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual plans, directs and implements a comprehensive year-round cultural, athletic and recreational activities and events to meet the various needs of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Tribal Community. The incumbent directs, supervises, and evaluates assigned recreation and fitness staff, team coaches, volunteers and officials as necessary. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in Recreation, Parks Management, Physical Education, or related field is preferred. A minimum five (5) years of experience in planning, coordinating, and supervising recreation programs; or any equivalent combination of relevant education/training and experience is required. Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver's License is a requirement for this job. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency computer skills utilizing Microsoft Software packages are required. Must have the ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
