Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing support in all aspects to Physical Therapists, under the Seminole Tribe of Florida Physical Therapy Program. The individual assists patients who are recovering from injuries, to manage pain and regain mobility, as well as other assigned physical therapy duties to include multi-community education. The incumbent provides direct patient care under the supervision of a STOF named physical therapist, and could include treatment of patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training. The Physical Therapy Assistant records patients' progress and reports results of each treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist; and provides physical therapy support for the multi-site STOF physical therapy program, as requested. Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Possession of an active State of Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license is required. A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with home health experience is preferred. Organization, time management, flexibility and positive attitude are crucial to successful performance. Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver’s license is required. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook. Must have the ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
