Position: Grants Accountant III
Job Type: Full Time
The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing advanced professional accounting work and assisting other accounting staff in grant compliance, with more complex work in accounting systems/grant systems and related aspects of grants financial management including financial reporting, budget analysis, grant reporting, reconciliation, and cash management. The individual works with minimal supervision and must be able to independently develop data necessary for sound managerial decision making and financial reporting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of related experience working as a grant accountant is required. Prior experience in governmental accounting/auditing settings is highly preferred. Prior experience working in a supervisory capacity is preferred. Knowledge of Government GAAP reporting requirements is required. Demonstrate superior analytical skills and problem solving ability. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoftsoftware packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
