Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing the overall layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications designed by the Seminole Media Production’s (SMP) Business Marketing/Events Division. The incumbent produces promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for products and services, and design distinctive logos. The individual prepares sketches and layouts by hand or with the aid of a computer or other technological equipment; selects colors, sound, artwork, photography, animation, style of font, and other visual elements to produce and design promotional/marketing materials. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in graphic design, layout and illustration is required or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Knowledge of design programs such as, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
