Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing Multi-Media education programs for the STOF Community Culture Departments, as well as the Ahfachkee School, Preschool School and other educational Tribal Wide programs. The individual develops and disseminates culture education materials through the use of web sites, applications, and other media and/or electronic outlets. The incumbent in this position supports the Community Culture Programs by developing and translating new teaching materials. The individual in this position is also responsible for encouraging student participation to enhance developmental skills. High school graduate or equivalent GED is required. Prior experience working in multi media lab and programmed instruction as a Curriculum / Material Developer is preferred. Background and interest in Native American culture and history, especially Florida Seminole, is required. Ability to speak the Miccosukee and/or Creek language is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to perform public speaking for training purposes. Demonstrate excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft software programs and add-ins, Adobe Flash, Photoshop and other technical programs.. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida or federally recognized American Indian Tribes is preferred.
