Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for planning, organizing and conducting traditional wood carving educational lessons to the Tribal Community. The individual in this position will also be responsible for encouraging student participation to enhance developmental skills. High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred. Considerable knowledge of traditional Seminole Tribe of Florida’s wood carving, art, culture techniques and history is required. Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in education system-related projects is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak Creek or Miccosukee language is highly preferred. Ability to speak Creek or Miccosukee language is highly preferred. Incumbent must be able to work independently or within diverse groups. Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
