Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assessing patients’ health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, educating patients and the public regarding various medical conditions and maintaining medical records. The incumbent administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients; coordinates Home Health Care services and equipment; provides ambulatory services, conducts home visits and serves as patient’s advocate. Associates Degree in Nursing is required. Current and valid State of Florida’s Registered Nurse License is required. Prior experience providing services in a primary care clinic or within a mental health setting is preferred. Certification as Basic Life Support (BLS) and valid Florida Driver’s License are required. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
