Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the development, scheduling and carrying out programs, activities, and tours tailored to the needs of the Seminole Tribal Community in order to perpetuate their culture and develop their awareness and appreciation of Tribal history. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in History, Anthropology or related field is preferred. Prior experience coordinating an educational program or working in museum setting or related environment is preferred. Prior experience handling wildlife is preferred. Knowledge of Native American culture and history, especially Seminole is required. Ability to promote awareness and appreciation of Seminole History is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent skills in oratory and public speaking. Demonstrate proficiency in computer software. Ability to travel and to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Preference will be given to members of federally recognized American Indian Tribes, particularly The Seminole Tribe of Florida.
