Job Description

The incumbent in this position is considered a working supervisor and is responsible for supervising the mailroom activities of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Post Office Unit located at the Big Cypress Reservation. The individual is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of incoming, outgoing and Mail Production services, including the mail coordination with departments (inter-office mail) and the coordination and communication with external/outside mail/delivery carries including USPS, SPS, FedEx, Amazon, DHL, and others, to coordinate deliveries to the Big Cypress Reservation. The incumbent establishes communication with county and state shipping companies to coordinate deliveries, confirm all cash deposit information is accurate; and establishes and oversees the implementation of updated safety protocols and standards. The individual supervises the work of the mailroom staff while providing guidance and direction in all aspects of sorting, processing, and delivering mail. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of four (4) years of experience working as messenger, delivery man or courier is preferred. Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver's License is a requirement for this job. Demonstrate excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel across all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
