Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing duties related to the operation, maintenance and inspection of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Public Works Water and Wastewater Plant facility. The incumbent operates water / wastewater plant equipment and machinery that includes turbine pumps, high service pumps, aerators, chlorinators, booster pumps and auxiliary engines. High School graduate or GED equivalent is required. A minimum of two (2) years of previous experience working for a water / wastewater plant facility in a supervisory position is required. Experience working with SCADA and plant telemetry systems is required. Possession of a valid State of Florida Water or Wastewater Plant Operator "A" Certificate of License highly preferred, or equivalent USET recognized state. RO or NANO filtration experience preferred. Possession of a valid State of Florida Water / Wastewater Plant Operator "B" Certificate of License or equivalent at time of hire and eligible to obtain within one (1) year of appointment the educational requirements for the certificate of license and obtain a Wastewater Plant Operator "A" Certificate of License. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary. Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings weekends and holidays.
