Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for facility operations and maintenance for all Health & Human Services Department facilities and real properties serving Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual oversees construction, improvements, maintenance and renovations of current and future Healthcare facilities and HHS related Centers, ensuring that they all meet and/or exceed American Disability Act (ADA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Indian Health Services (IHS), Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) regulation standards and that are in compliance with Tribal environmental, health, and security policies. The incumbent works closely with construction teams to ensure environmental compliance during all phases of construction projects, and acts as liaison between the Health & Human Services Executive Department, external departments, and the appropriate Local, State, and Federal Governments as needed on facility matters. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university with a is required. A minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in the design, construction and management of construction projects with at least five (5) years of experience working in the medical facilities field is required. Facility Manager Certification (CFM) is preferred. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Demonstrate excellent written (technical and non-technical) and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and must be able to travel to all Seminole Reservations. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
