Job Description

The Grants Management Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of grants administration, including the research, planning, coordination and management of grant opportunities in collaboration with Tribal departments. This role ensures compliance with funding regulations applicable to federally recognized Indian tribes and collaborates with the accounting department on the financial management of grants, including budgeting and reporting. The Director works closely with local, state, and federal agencies, and leads a team in maintaining accurate grant records, managing databases, and ensuring successful project outcomes. The individual provides leadership to department staff and to Executive Directors and departments heads seeking federal, state and other grant funding opportunities. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Public Policy is required, along with at least five (5) years of hands-on governmental experience in grants development with local, state, or federal agencies. A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory, managerial, or project management experience is also required, as well as prior responsibility for grant writing and grant administration policies and procedures. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Demonstrated pattern of successful grant proposals is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Familiarity with computerized systems is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all Seminole Reservations and facilities, and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
