Job Description

This is advanced professional Building & Grounds construction management position with administrative responsibility for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, space planning and decor of all interior spaces, and operation of varied Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Building and Grounds facilities. The Furniture Fixture & Equipment (FF&E) Project Manager is responsible for work that involves planning, creating designs which are practical, aesthetic and conducive to intended purposes, including improving space utilization in office environments, furnishings and thereby improving employee comfort and productivity, assigning and reviewing the work of vendors and staff. The emphasis of the work is in the development of policies, procedures and oversight to ensure success in the monitoring of the work of architectural and engineering consultants and contractors engaged in the design and construction of a variety of smaller scope of Tribal Wide maintenance, renovation and construction projects. The work involves assignments that require some independence in making decisions and obtaining solutions while adhering to and/or operating within established policies, rules and guidelines. The FF&E Project Manager requires to travel frequently to other Reservations. High School diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Technology/Interior Design, Construction Management or related field is preferred. A minimum of four (4) years of experience in Building/Facility management, Construction remodeling/renovation projects, interior design or similar field is required. Familiarity with accounting systems is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. Ability to managing multiple projects at different stages is required. Demonstrate excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Software packages, including AutoCAD or similar design software. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations and facilities. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
