Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Board Executive Director of Operations in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient processes, effective resource utilization and superior quality service for all of The Seminole Tribe of Florida Inc. (STOFI) business units. The individual assists in the formulation of policies, leading and supervising team members and driving continuous improvements in operational workflows. The Assistant Director of Operations assists with identifying inefficiencies and recommends improvements in operational processes, systems, performance standards and procedures to improve productivity and quality. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing financial statements, sale and activity reports, assisting in the oversight of production or service delivery, and establishing long-term goals and objectives for STOFI business units. Works closely with the various Department Director(s) and adheres to established policies and procedures. The position may require occasional work on weekends and travel. Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years in senior leadership role in the appropriate field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Prior experience with budget and business plan development is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver License and have the ability to travel locally and nationally. Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands, is required. Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines. Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity. Demonstrated superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings. Masterful organizational, written and verbal communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success. Demonstrated proficiency with creating and delivering presentations and public speaking. Demonstrated history of training, developing and mentoring staff. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Software. Must be able to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
