Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing assistance to the Housing Regional Managers in various functions related to the safety operation of generator systems for residents of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s. The individual assists with monitoring and maintaining inventory; ordering parts equipment and fluids and providing guidance and technical advice to the Generator Services Technicians. This position performs preventive maintenance and repairs services of all Seminole Tribe of Florida’s residential and commercial generator systems and also distributes fuel to residents in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining public safety. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Prior vocational training or job-related coursework is preferred, or, completion of an instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical electrical knowledge and skills is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience as in the repair and maintenance of generator equipment and/or uninterrupted power supply systems is required. Licensed Electrician is preferred. Must possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with a HAZMAT Endorsement or have the ability to obtain the license within nine (9) months of employment. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to all Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
