Job Description

The individual is responsible for assisting the Director of Risk Management in developing and implementing the department’s overall goals and objectives. Responsibilities include administering insurance programs, such as property and casualty, reviewing insurance contracts, and tracking contractors' certificates of insurance. Additionally, the individual ensures compliance with Housing insurance guidelines and manages the timely processing of Tribal Members' housing insurance transactions, including claims and applications. The role also involves supporting the Director in creating strategies to enhance efficiency, maintain quality, and drive continuous improvement. Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance Management, Business Administration, or Public Administration is required. A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience working with risk and insurance management programs is required. Two (2) years of prior experience working in a leadership capacity is required. Knowledge of basic housing concepts and financial concepts is required. Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license is required. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to all Reservations and STOF facilities and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
