Job Description

The individual in this position is responsible for supporting the Water Resources Department (WRD) with a range of complex administrative and office functions. The incumbent provides administrative and operational assistance to the Operations and Logistics staff, coordinating field activities related to equipment operations and maintenance, spray operations, and water management. Additionally, this role creates and maintains tracking logs, conducts data analysis, prepares reports and documents, and offers clerical support across various areas. The individual requires independent decision-making and problem-solving within established policies, rules, and guidelines. An Associate’s Degree is required. Bachelor of Science or Arts degree is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working within an office environment. Possession of a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification or equivalent is required. Prior experience with basic bookkeeping as well as record keeping functions is highly preferred. The incumbent must be able to work independently or within diverse groups. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Excel and other Microsoft software packages is required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, or when required by the program.
