Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for procuring and coordinating homeowner’s insurance-related products and services for Seminole Tribe of Florida Members. The individual implements and monitors housing insurance guidelines, advising Tribal Members on insurance needs, and ensuring accurate documentation and maintenance of policy records. The incumbent also facilitates timely filing of property and flood insurance claims with carriers on behalf of Tribal Members and ensures proper organization of insurance-related records. The person in this role establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Tribal employees, community members, and insurance vendors. Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience working with housing insurance policies or related field is required. Possession of a Florida 2-20 or 4-40 Insurance’s License is highly preferred. Knowledge of basic housing concepts and financial concepts related to insurance is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, Power Point and outlook). Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to all Reservations and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
