Job Description

The incumbent of this position is responsible for performing a variety of office support and receptionist duties at the front of the STOF Tribal Clerk’s Office. The individual answers phones, customer inquiries, and greets and directs visitors to appropriate parties and office locations. The role also involves composing and typing various standard documents and correspondence, as well as distributing incoming and outgoing mail. The incumbent organizes office space for meetings, relays and resolves routine telephone and/or walk-up inquiries, processes forms, orders supplies and maintains records. The individual provides administrative support to other Tribal Clerk’s Office staff, following through on office procedure necessary to carry out these responsibilities. High School diploma or GED is required. Prior experience working in a clerical position in an office or experience utilizing office equipment, following standard office procedures, including typing, filing, and archiving, ordering office supplies and maintaining interdepartmental communications is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Excellent phone skills, written and communication skills are required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
