Job Description

The incumbent in this position is the primary support for the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Program at the Seminole Tribe of Florida which will serve all eligible Tribal Member students beginning with Pre-Kindergarten and through the completion of the 12th grade. The individual is responsible for collaborating with School Administrators, Instructional Leaders, STOF’s Children’s Center for Diagnostics & Therapy (CCDT), parents, and related STOF departments and programs, in the coordination of the effective delivery of exceptional student programs. The Case Manager will also liaise between STOF and representatives of the Florida Department of Education (DOE) in facilitating the development and/or improvement of instruction for exceptional learners. The incumbent will also provide technical assistance and expertise to ensure a continuum of service options. Bachelor’s degree in Education is required. Master’s Degree is preferred. Certification as a Professional Educator is required in K-12 Exceptional Student Education. A minimum of three (3) years of experience with teaching students with disabilities, with prior experience with supervision and administration of special education programs is required. Proficiency of Response to Intervention (RTI) is required. Proficiency of Section 504 Rehabilitation Act and IDEIA is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must have the ability to travel to all reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
