Job Description

The incumbent in this position provides education to the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Community on home economics and facilitating the timely communication of community updates on policies and initiatives. The individual coordinates instructional courses with the department; develops and delivers educational programs focused on essential home economics; organizes workshops, seminars, and one-on-one sessions to enhance life skills and promote self-sufficiency within the community. Additionally, the incumbent creates and distributes regular updates, newsletters, and educational materials to inform residents about housing policies, programs, and opportunities. Bachelor's degree in Home Economics, Education, Communications, or a related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in community education, outreach, housing related services or program development, preferably within a Tribal context is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft packages. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences. Demonstrate excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel through all STOF reservations and elsewhere when necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
